Some of My Poetry Most of the poetry posted on the next few pages has either to do with my travels as a child, or as part of my college career, during which time I traveled cross country to reach fieldschool every summer, and one academic project which took me to the continent of Africa for an all too brief eighteen days.
ROW UPON ROW Row upon row of floating misted moisture, Fragments of stratified fluff. Cloud blinded - Unaware, if not for gravity of which blue is Up, and which cloud is down. Engines hum, ears Pop, lunch floats, suspended in my midst, like Clouds, betwixt sky and sky. No grounding, no Horizon only the blue-grey bright-white Surreality of time warp mist and personal Vanity. But look, awake, time and reality Beckon, glimpses tease the mind. Jigsaw dots And patches fade in and out of view, shadows Flicker, darkness and smoke, strobe lights, Water - immense, seeming limitless, grey upon Grey, ripples mark God’s breath. Green more Lush than west Texas Reality could dream of. Energize - make it so. A rush and a roar, a Church, a highway. UPS - United - Tyson and Holifield - Smog and Trash - Traffic jams. Time and place reclaim us, HuMANity will claim its 15 minutes of fame, Flight 305 disgorges its contents Reality check ,Sanity reframed, Next stop Deconstruction
